Tarık Akat's life suddenly changed with the motorcycle accident he had in 2021. Despite a fatal accident and all the difficulties that followed, he achieved great success from the hospital to the Turkish Weightlifting Championship.

The first thing doctors told Tarık Akat, who was hospitalized after a traffic accident, was that his leg was very bad, it would be amputated and he would not be able to walk again. Doctors who are experts in their field came together to save Tarık Akat's leg and performed a successful operation, although it was very risky.
Although he could not fully regain his health due to his disability, he was able to stand up and walk again thanks to the physical therapy he received. Former European and World Champion Weightlifter Ekrem Celil saw the talent of this young man and recruited him to the Physically Disabled Weightlifting team in Antalya, where he trained him, and prepared him for the Turkey Weightlifting Championship.
